In this modern classic, players compete to become the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, upgrading them into cities, and connecting everything with roads. Each turn, dice rolls determine which resources the island produces—wood, brick, wheat, sheep, and ore—and how players can expand their growing civilization.

The modular board is created with randomly placed hexagonal tiles, ensuring every game feels fresh and different. Each terrain type produces specific resources, while strategic port locations offer valuable trading opportunities. Careful placement of your initial settlements is key, as it determines your starting resources and long-term strategy.

On your turn, you’ll collect resources, build structures, trade with other players, and develop your strategy using special development cards. But beware—rolling a 7 activates the robber, allowing players to disrupt opponents and steal valuable resources.

Victory points are earned by expanding your settlements, building cities, claiming the longest road, assembling the largest army, and acquiring certain development cards. The first player to reach 10 victory points wins the game.
